HEIDENHAIN has introduced the TS 760 touch probe for use with its contouring TNC and other CNC systems.
The probe offers ±1-µm accuracy and homogeneous switching behaviour over 360 degrees. The feed rate/probing speed during 3D measurement is 1 m/min. with a repeatability of 2σ ≤ 0.25 µm.
The trigger force for this probe (≈ 0.2 N; axial: ≈ 1.5 N) helps eliminate form and surface damage. And if desired, the probing point can be cleaned with an integrated flusher feature by using compressed air and cooling lubricant of up to 60 bars.
The new probe system uses an EnDat communication signal, along with the SE 661 that offers a radio or infrared channel selection, which is set up on the control’s screen.
